BCUG held its 3rd online meeting this year and first ever remote collaborative online meeting using Citrix's GoToMeeting: https://www2.gotomeeting.com/en_US/entry/entry.tmpl.

A chat window was opened to all participants during the online voice communications and screen presentation. Participants typed in their comments in a text box. The chat log, posted here, is unedited text comments captured during the session.

The chat comments were noteworthy with respect to both content and to the mechanics of the meeting. If you did not participate in the meeting, the comments might not be meaningful until you view the video recording of the session soon to be published on the club's website.

As the organizer, Fred admits he could not concentrate on the chat window and did not find the chat window always open and inviting. At a planned meeting in the future,  he believes he would delegate someone with a mic to police the chat and call anything important to the organizer's or presenter's attention.
