Joel May Presents Weird and Wonderful Web Sites

By Joel May and Sandy Rand

If you were at the June, 2003 meeting, you’ll remember that Joel did an outstanding presentation on digital photography. This month, he’s back to show us some great web sites.

Hidden throughout the WWW are sites, strange or useful, weird or wonderful, that most of us simply don't have the time or the luck to discover.

In this presentation, Joel May will introduce us to some of these. For example, did you know that there are sites that can read your mind? Sites that can translate entire web pages from one language to another? Learn about these and many more.

Joel has spent most of his adult life teaching, first at the Graduate School of Business of the University of Chicago and, subsequently, at the School of Public Health of the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. He holds a BS degree in Economics from Albright College and an MBA and PhD in Economics from the University of Chicago. He's been using computers since 1961, the Internet since 1974, PCs since 1979, and the World Wide Web since 1994.
