Dave Gomolka of Ritz Camera on Photography

Dave Gomolka is the manager of the Ritz Camera store in the Monmouth Mall. At our February meeting, he’ll give us an overview of the 7 classes that his company offers. The classes are free to anyone who buys a camera at a Ritz store but otherwise, available at a reasonable price.

The classes are:

• Basic Digital – As the name implies, this class covers buying a digital camera, installing its software, starting to take pictures, moving pictures to your PC and printing.
• Beyond Basic Digital – More advanced digital photography techniques
• Photo 1 – Basic Photography Knowledge including how light affects pictures, cropping (how not to be afraid of), turning flash on and off and tripods
• Photo 2 – More in depth, more advanced techniques
• The Great Outdoors – Doing landscapes and other outdoor skills
• People and Action
• Using Flash

Obviously, this much material can’t be covered in depth at one meeting, but we’ll come away with a good understanding of the Ritz Camera classes and at the same time be able to pick up many tips and tricks from Dave
