Corel Presents Their Latest
Paint Shop Pro and
Paint Shop Photo Album
By Sandy Rand
In
June 2004, Tamara Brown presented CorelDraw Graphics Suite. Her
presentation was outstanding and she’s back to present Corel’s
latest, Paint Shop Pro and Paint Shop Photo Album.
Paint Shop Pro has been getting great reviews for years. It’s always been regarded as an outstanding photo editor at a reasonable price, currently $79 for the full version, $59 for the upgrade. It was created by Jasc Software originally as a shareware program. Jasc always cooperated with user groups but never had the budget to make user group presentations. In the past year, Corel bought Jasc. This is good news for user groups as we now have an opportunity to see live demonstrations of these fine products.
Paint
Shop Photo Album Deluxe allows you to get your photos from anywhere;
camera, scanner, picture CD, or cell phone. It has a smart, flexible
folder system to automatically organize your photos using a naming
system you choose.
With Photo Album, you can choose how you want to view your photos with the click of a button. Then quickly organize your collection so you can find photos fast. The freedom Photo Album gives you is unlike any other program and since it’s so intuitive, it takes only a moment to get started.
Since Photo Album works with virtually any digital camera, you can get your photos from your camera to your computer in two clicks, without the hassle of other software.
While Corel is most famous for CorelDraw and WordPerfect, they have many other products, most of them graphics related. We can’t tell you the details but we can say that at our meeting, Tamara will show you a sneak preview of 2 exciting product releases.
See you at the meeting.
