Chris Jarocha-Ernst Presents

Creating Web Pages

By Chris Jarocha-Ernst and Douglas Powell

Chris is a Consulting User Support Services Specialist (whew!) for the New Brunswick Computing Services division of Rutgers University.

For over 20 years Chris has been working with various text-manipulation programs. For the past several years he has been using and doing lectures on creating web pages with Netscape Composer. Recently, he discovered Nvu and considers it superior to Composer.

Nvu is a web page editing program available for Windows, Macintosh, and Linux systems. The program provides many tools for page construction, eliminating the need to write in HTML (the web page language), but still allows access to the page's HTML code for users who wish it.

Chris will be demonstrating some of its features showing how it can be used to create basic pages, add links and images, and organize text with tables.

Thinking of setting up a web page or just interested in how one is set up? Be with us on February 17th and enjoy Chris' presentation.
