Victor Laurie Presents

"How to Find and Use Health-Related
Resources on the Internet"

By Doug Powell

Our speaker for October is an old friend, Victor Laurie. Vic was with us twice before and it is a pleasure to have him with us again.

Vic has been involved with the use of computers as a research tool since1956. Ever since his retirement he has been lecturing on computer topics especially has he been interested in encouraging Senior Citizens to use computers. He also finds the time to monitor and author several educational web sites.

The topic of Vic's presentation is, "How to Find and Use Health-Related Resources on the Internet." He will present many valuable resources for health-related information . The Internet contains many valuable resources for health-related information but also there is much that is dubious.

What kinds of information are available? How and where can one find the information and when you do how do you evaluate what you found? Be with us on October 20th to find out the answers to these and other important questions about health-related resources.

I am sure all of us will go home with at least one kernel of information that will assist us re: our health.

See you on the 20th.!
