Welcome back Joel May. Joel has been with us numerous times and each time it was a treat for the members.
At our April meeting Joel will speak on "Using Recoverable Storage." Paper tapes to UTDs. After starting with a brief history of removable storage devices Joel will then concentrate on an explanation of new and creative ways to use the most recent storage technology: non-volatile flash memory found in memory cards; mp3 players; digital cameras; GPS navigation systems; and thumb drives.
Joel has spent most of his adult life teaching from the Graduate School of Business of the University of Chicago to the School of Public Health of the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. He holds a B.S. degree in Economics from Albright College and an MBA and PhD in Economics from the University of Chicago. He has been using computers since 1961, the internet since 1974, PCs since 1979, and the World Wide Web since 1994.
Let's welcome Joel with another solid turnout. I know you will enjoy the
evening with the members and our speaker Joel May. See you on the 20th.
