Jim Dempsey

"Cartridge World of Freehold"

By Doug Powell

Jim Dempsey after graduating from college started working on repairing electronic equipment for large, well known companies at that time. Computers then filled large rooms, and everybody wanted to be a programmer. Jim figured if everyone became a programmer, there would soon be need for someone to repair the computers when they broke down.

Soon after repairing, he moved into training others how to repair, first at the regional level, then nationally flying about the country. Then, he moved on to service management, and then regional service management. The market saw sharp drops in product margins, and Jim was again in the right place as services carried the companies in profits when product margins declined. As services moved into “projects”, he once again changed with the times and became certified as a Project Management Professional as well as a Green Belt for Six Sigma Quality Processes.

Jim spent most of his 30 year career working with computers in an IT environment. In 2003, he looked into starting his own business, feeling more secure with the offerings of a Cartridge World franchise. So he attended Bill Nunnelly’s courses through the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) located none other than right here at Brookdale and opened the doors in May of 2005.

Jim wishes to speak about the benefits of using re manufactured cartridges, what types of cartridges make the best candidates, how to get the most for your money, and keeping it GREEN by supporting the environment. He will demonstrate ways to lengthen the life of a cartridge, and hand out his “Top Ten” ways to get the most from your cartridge. Not only why you should remanufacture a cartridge, but why Cartridge World is THE place to go for them, and finally, why FREEHOLD Cartridge World is the best Cartridge World.
