MEETING DATE: Friday May 16, 2008

Our meeting for May will feature one of our own, Bob Francis. Bob has been involved with computers since 1972. After being the Director of Computer Operations for a large New York City financial company he decided to become an independent computer consultant forming his own company in 1999.

He has also been a part of a team of consultants who managed a server farm of Novell, Windows, N.T. and Unix servers.
Currently Bob is semi-retired.

His presentation will focus on 2 programs in one. Back Up Now, which does file- level backups and Drive Image which creates a drive image on a backup hard drive. Each program has to be installed separately.

The presentation will focus on the data backups section of software. he will also demonstrate backing up file-level and folder level backups and then how to restore them. 

There is one last important aspect of Bob's presentation. How to restore your data. The image software will, therefore, also be reviewed on how to create an image of the hard drive.
