Most of the world uses Google as its primary computer search engine, but did you know that Google is also a phonebook, a dictionary, a weather forecaster, a package tracker, a calculator, a currency converter and a movie guide, among other things? Joel will explore these and other Google talents such as how to ferret out information on airport conditions and the current status of flights, stock prices, and the latest news headlines. He will also discuss “Google Mashups” which combine Google Maps with other data to locate such diverse things as terrorism sites, golf courses, sex offenders residences and roller coasters as well as helping the user to research the assessed value of homes, sources of political contributions, and a host of other data.
