Wally Kowrach’s career spans more than 30 years in publishing, customer service and data management. At the dawn of the World Wide Web, he became a self-taught Webmaster. He has created, and maintained websites for organizations such as the American Automobile Association, Ortho-McNeil Pharmaceuticals, and Merrill Lynch The speaker will discuss considerations, such as: do you really need a website, and do you have the time to maintain it? Then, choosing a name for the site, finding a host provider, registering a web address, and what else do you need to do? Further, the speaker will cover selecting software, such as an HTML editor, graphics editor, file transfer program, and, locating and selecting web pages templates. He will also discuss editing HTML source code.
