Alfred Poor How to Make the Best of Video Meetings MEETING DATE: Thursday, October 27, 2022 6:45PM - 8:45PM (Zoom meeting room opens at 6:45 PM; Meeting starts at 7 PM) via Zoom virtual meeting. |
The average business leader spends five to 10 hours per week on Zoom calls, video conferences, and webinars. Over the course of a year, that can add up to tens of thousands of dollars invested in the cost of their time alone. Yet many do not put the same level of intentional preparation for a video meeting as they would for a traditional face-to-face meeting.
Virtual technology expert Alfred Poor will demonstrate why it is so important to make a strong virtual presence in video meetings, and some of the key elements that can set you apart from the competition. He will also give out downloadable copies of his “Video Meeting Blueprint.”
Alfred Poor is a familiar face at BCUG meetings over the years. He wrote for PC Magazine for more than 20 years, and also is known for his time as a co-host on The Personal Computer Show with Joe King and Hank Kee on WBAI in New York City. Among his current projects, he is the Chief Technology Content Officer for VEG: The Virtual Events Group, which is a community for all stakeholders in the virtual events business, including platform publishers, event planners, and service providers.
A graduate of Harvard College, he is the author or co-author of 15 books. His superpower is his ability to explain complex concepts to people in ways that they can put them to immediate practical use.
