• QR or Quick Response codes which are two dimensional barcodes.
• What are two dimensional barcodes and why use them.
• What can be encoded in QR codes
• How does one read or use a QR code
• How can one create a QR code
• Some useful or fun personal uses of QR codes

About John Krout

John Krout is a speaker and newsletter contributor who belongs to the Potomac Area Technology and Computer Society. He has presented to more than a dozen other user groups around the US via Zoom as an APCUG Speakers Bureau member. John has written about creative uses of personal computers since the early 1980s. Now he also writes about smartphones, tablets, and digital cameras. He has won a first prize in the APCUG Digital Photo contest twice.

He retired in 2021 after working as a contractor/software engineer for several Federal agencies, including Homeland Security and the Federal Bureau of Investigation for 30-plus years. He lives in Arlington, Virginia. He has recently added Linux computers to his home network.
