Caring for aging parents or supporting loved ones often becomes more complicated than anyone expects. After navigating the challenges of caring for his mother while working full time, Saeed Saatchi, Founder & CEO of SimpliTend, set out in retirement to design a tool that could make the experience easier for other families.
In this talk, Saeed shares the real world caregiving challenges that shaped the idea for SimpliTend, the evolution of the concept, and the key design and technology decisions behind building a simple, intuitive digital tool for families. Saeed Saatchi is the Founder and CEO of SimpliTend LLC, a mobile platform designed to reduce chaos for families managing care by supporting multiple care modes, adapting to changing health needs, and offering inclusive safety features. With more than three decades of leadership in product innovation, he has built a career turning complex technology into simple, accessible solutions that improve everyday life.
Before founding SimpliTend, Saeed held senior roles at Verizon Wireless, Samsung, Motorola, and AT&T Bell Labs where he led engineering teams, managed wireless device portfolios, and shaped product strategies for consumer and enterprise markets. He has also driven consulting and entrepreneurial efforts in IoT, smart home devices, and wellness products, always with a focus on user experience, accessibility, and quality.
Saeed holds multiple U.S. patents in mobile communication and device innovation. He earned his M.S. in Computer Science from Stevens Institute of Technology and both M.S. and B.S. degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois. Through SimpliTend, he brings together his expertise in wireless technology, product design, and emotionally intelligent communication to empower families and strengthen caregiving networks.
