Dave Tutelman My second career in golf technology...And how computers made it possible MEETING DATE: Thursday, March 26, 2026 6:45PM - 8:45PM (Zoom meeting room opens at 6:45 PM; Meeting starts at 7 PM) via Zoom virtual meeting. |
I retired from Bell Labs after 40 years, most of that time doing R&D in computer networking. By that time, I had established myself as knowing a lot about the physics of golf clubs and the golf swing. I was able to start a second career doing consulting for golf club companies. I have been doing that, both as a hobby and a business, ever since.
It would not have been possible without the computer.
Dave is an engineer, by training and inclination. He has been a manager at Bell Labs and played many roles there. He has also been a college professor and plays the piano. After leaving Bell Labs Dave became very involved in sports technology. He has an extensive and detailed description of his background on his website at https://tutelman.com/aboutus/DmtBio_.html . It is too long to put here, so just click the link and learn about Dave.
